Saint Benedict the Moor Secular Francican Fraternity

The St. Benedict the Moor Fraternity, of the Secular Franciscan Order, was founded in 1965 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in New York. Fraternity members live in the New York metropolitan area and commute to midtown Manhattan for both worship and work, and many members serve St. Francis of Assisi Church as lectors and Eucharistic ministers. In addition to supporting the Church, the St. Benedict the Moor Fraternity has been especially active in promoting a devotion to the Rosary.
